Home made skin creamYou don’t have to spend a lot of money on your body scrubs, facial masks and other skin treatments. There’s so many different natural ingredients that you can use instead of purchasing expensive over the counter products.

Checking around, I have found several of them that I have tried and liked. You can always make your own concoction and try by trial and error to find the perfect one for yourself.

Here are a couple of Dr Oz’s favorite recipes I enjoy:

Dr. Oz Spa facial Mask

DIY FACIAL MASK: This Spa facial Red Grape Face Mask is inspired by a treatment found at the Caudalie Vinothérapie® Spa, the Plaza Hotel in New York City. This mask recipe has only 4 ingredients and great for restoring your complexion. The grapes and cranberries have vitamins A and C, which help guard against sun damage. Additionally, this mask may help reverse some discoloration from aging.

DIY Spa Facial Mask Recipe

1 cup seedless red grapes
1 cup fresh cranberries
2 tsp grapefruit juice
1 envelope unflavored gelatin

Mash up and mix ingredients together by hand or in a blender until it becomes a paste. Chill for 45 minutes until it thickens. Let it sit for 10 minutes and apply to clean skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and clean off with warm water.

This facial would normally cost $185 but you can do this spa facial for $2.70

Dr. Oz: Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Skin Exfoliating Scrub — Brown Sugar Body Scrub for dry skin; Sugar scrubs are more gentle than other scrubs, and they exfoliate without damaging your skin – keeping it smooth and moisturized. This Spa Brown Sugar Body Scrub is inspired by treatment the spa finder found at the Ritz Carlton, Dove Mountain, Arizona.

DIY Brown Sugar Body Scrub Recipe

1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup almond oil
1 tsp liquid vitamin E
1 tsp vanilla extract

Combine ingredients, adding in sugar last. Use in the shower and apply in a circular motion.

This DIY Body Scrub only has 4 ingredients and will help get rid of the dead skin cells on your body. At a Spa this brown sugar Body Scrub would cost $155. Your DIY Body Scrub — Spa Exfoliation will cost you less than $7.

Dr. Oz: Milk and Honey Foot Bath

This foot bath is perfect to soothe tired and sore feet. The milk helps replenish dry skin and reduce irritation, and the cinnamon helps stimulate circulation.

This Milk and Honey Foot Bath was inspired by a Destination Spa called Mii amp Spa, Sedona, AZ, for your tired and aching feet. You apply the honey to the balls and heels of your feet, then you pour the warm foot bath over your feet and sit there, soak and relax.

DIY Milk and Honey Foot Bath Recipe

3-5 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup whole milk

Mix ingredients. Fill tub with warm water and stir in the mixture. Let your feet soak for 10-15 minutes.

At a Spa a Milk & Honey Bath would cost $220, DIY Spa Milk & Honey Bath less than $3.
